admin login?

greeetings, the problem i have is once yabbse is installed it says to go to my board. so i do and try to log in as admin with the username and pass i created in the installation script but it says "username does not exist" yet i try to register (just for grins) and it tells me the  username is aready in use.

from what i can tell user's can register but not login, i could be something as simple as wrong chmod on a file, but with no readme i cant tell or over looked something

I can stay logged in, but can't access the admin panel. This is the error I receive:

fopen("./yabbinfo.xml","w") - Permission denied
(/home/talonsta/public_html/yabbse/Sources/Admin.php ln 1861

A bit of the XML appears at the top of the page.

This looks for a job for a TRUE YaBB guru.

hmm, did i need to chmod those file's to 755, i chmoded the yabbse dir to 777 and the settings.php, but not sure what else to do

You shouldn't have to chmod them, but I did see someone say here that he had trouble with his admin file until he chmoded it or changed a line of code.

I can't do anything on your board at the moment -- it appears to be down?

sorry, accidently chmoded to 644, opps wrong button

Changed your cookie names from the admin panel, which I could access.

The package manager was causing an error, though.
