I noticed that in 1.4 hovering over the NEW icon still lists new" , there was a fix in version 1.3 that was posted that also made the button automatically go to your first unread message in the thread. I think this should definately be added into the package. I don't know if this will work directly in 1.4 but I don't really think it belongs as a separate mod. Here is the link

Heh, still not added into 1.4.1. This is one of my users FAVORITE feature. Why does it never get adding into the list of updates?

As far as I can tell, what Myasis (sp?) did isn't possible with 1.4.*
If you use start=new, that automatically brings you to the last post in the thread, so to do what you want *may involve a good bit of coding (bear in mind I haven't looked at the code at all for this.) Regarding the first error about New", that's a bit odd. Pity it wasn't spotted in beta testing..

Yep the startnew thing works fine, first change I make when upgrading these days .

The New" thing, was the same in 1.4 as well, I posted it in the bugs forum not long after 1.4 was released but dont think anyone noticed it

Shame it cropped up in 1.4.1 too but doubt many people actually notice
