Attachment problems

Mods installed = more smilies and calender mod.

When I try to upload an attachment I get: -

1) When modifying a message -

An Error Has Occurred!

2: open_basedir restriction in effect. File is in wrong directory
(/var/www/vhosts/sportsbike.cc/httpdocs/yabbse/Sources/ModifyMessage.php ln 217)

2) When posting -

An Error Has Occurred!

2: open_basedir restriction in effect. File is in wrong directory
(/var/www/vhosts/sportsbike.cc/httpdocs/yabbse/Sources/Post.php ln 662)

The solution that worked for me was to change the path to:
./attachments
this seems to make PHP happy :), although others have tried it and found it doesn't work.
