User doesn't exist

Im sure I screwed something up somewhere along the line and instead of doing a full install/migrate of my db/mass cookie clearing for the users, I would like to know if anyone has come across this, and may be able to point me in the right direction.

On occasion (this does not happen all of the time) when a user tries to sign in they get:

An Error Has Occurred!

Username does not exist. - NjM6U3RhbGtlcjpBSDVJR1V3YkovbGV3OjEwOjowOjA6MDowOlhlcm9uQmx1ZTo0MDk2:(Password)

I also get something similar to that if I try to update the person via the admin panel.  Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Have you installed the 1.3.1 bug fix package from the Downloads section?

Ya I did that, but I think what may have happened, was a while ago (1.0.0) I installed a mod that really jacked some things up, and got everything reverted back to functional, I then did the 1.3.0 upgrade, then the 1.3.1 patch, so I think I have some residual corruption floating around.

That won't correct it.  This is a weird error we haven't looked at too in depth...normally clearing all cookies and caches work.  Changing cookie names sometimes as well.
