News: SMF is the next generation in forum software, almost completely re-written from the ground up, make sure you don't fall for cheap imitations that suffer from feature bloat!

instead of giving out password to everyone or put people in membergroups - which can really hinder how things are made.

I would like to see an agreeing page before you enter the actual board. Like those agreements you all see on software and adult sites. The text that follow will ofcourse be customized to the particular board.

Can you explain this a little more please?  You can make it show an agreement when a new user registers if that is what you mean.

I think you can make an agreement page normally in HTML and name it index.html or something and make a link to the board to this page. Now when you add a link to the forum on your site don't add http://www.mysite.com/forum but add http://www.mysite.com/forum/agreement.html or something like that.

What I mean is that instead of going directly to the protected board, it first goes to to a agreement page that is in between.

Like this.

boardindex
  protected forum category
       agreement page
              protected forum

I dont want to have it completely protected as in a private board with a password. I merely want to warn my users about what the content on the board will be.

Yes I know I can just write that in the board description, but that can quickly cluster up space, and result in a long scroll list.

I can certainly see the use in a password protected forum, I might even use it myself, that will be for another purpose though.

The way I see it, its two mods that is both needed each for its own purpose.
