Hey all,
I just downloaded and installed YABB on my windows local machine.
 :-\
NExt i want to upload it to my site and make it "live"
When i was installin it on my local machine it gave me a warning saying to use a blank database or risk losing data.
 :-\
The problem is I am allowed only one database which I am already using (to make things easier to understand we'll call this database MyDB)
 :-\
MyDB is already has over 50 tables and a crapload of records that is being used by ASPs,JSPs,Servlets and lately....PHP.
 :-\
Can I use MyDB for YABB? or will my data there get currupted?
 :-\
basically it all comes down to....is it SAFE or NOT?
 :-\
Kindly reply,
Cheers,

Yes it is safe - just be sure to use a database prefix (like yabbse_ ) that will ensur eyou don't over write any other tables.

The purpose of the prefix, is if you use something like "myPrefix_" all the tables will be named myPrefix_members and myPrefix_topics rather than just members and topics.   If you use an appropriate prefix you should be safe.

but be sure to backup your database first! just in case :)
