Renaming a category

If I rename an existing category, are the old links to existing topics going to remain the same? Any ill effects if I do this?

Yes, links will still work, because if you look at a URL it will say ?board=4

i.e. the boards are each given an id so you can rename them however you like and it wont make any difference :)
