Disable gender text

I dont want to use that Male / Female text, How do i take it off?

You can disable it in the admin center.

Whoops, what I ment to say was that I want to disable the whole gender thingy so there will not be pic or text

The only thing I can find is
$showgenderimage Set to 1 to display each member's gender in the message view

If I set this to 0 it will still show text Female or Male

It's most likely because it's new in 1.3.0 and of course because you are not an admin you can't see this

It is not new in 1.3.0 - I am running 1.1.0, and I had no problem removing the gender display. In the admin section, Forum settings, uncheck the box "Display gender on message index" (or something like that - I'm currently using a Swedish language pack, so I'm not sure of the exact wording in the English language pack).

Yep- In ADMIN under Forum Prefrences and Settings, it says "Show Gender Image in Message View?"

If I disable that, it only shows gender as text (male/female)
I'm running 1.0.0
Maybe I could find those Male and Female text somewhere and wipe them off, so it wouldnt show them

Ah yes, that would be why I thought it was new in 1.3.0 - I'm also running a 1.0.0 board (although it's fully patched up ) and when you disable that option it displays the gender as text, instead of completely turning it off.

The quick solution is to upgrade to 1.1.0...

The longer solution is to search through display.php for gender and remove all appropriate variables (i.e. $gendertext). If you're stuck send me your display.php and I'll do it for you.
