Password-problem

When new member registers and YaBB automaticly sends him/her a password (to e-mail) it's incredible long: etc. 76287382kjdkjdisi£$$$$@£$$$@$  and there's lot's of those special notes ($£@%&})

This is really irritating, because you can't remember passwords like that. You can always use copy+paste to login (and quickly change your pw from profile), but that shouldn't be the way.

In SP1 I didn't have this kind of problem, it started when I upgraded to SE.

Is there anyway to get those passwords smaller (like some1234)?
