Will yabbse run smoothly on php 4.0.2?  Assuming all the settings are correct, of course. ;)

You will run into several errors.  You want at least 4.0.4 or 4.0.5

and try for 4.1.2 as its the latest version.

It is available on both unix and win32 platforms now.

All right, thanks.  How difficult is it for a webserver to upgrade from a earlier version of php to a newer one.  My webserver only runs 3.something and 4.0.2.  Am Iasking for a major undertaking when I ask why they havent upgraded their php version?

Most hosts were asked recently to upgrade to the new version of PHP anyway lately as a security hole was found...so your host is slacking ;)
