Problem With Message Posting

I'm having a problem that does not always show up..

When users or myself try to reply to a post, it does not show up after posting. It will show in preview though. Then on trying to post new topic, sometimes this error message pops up.

2: Supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource
(/home/sites/site7/web/yabbse/Sources/Post.php ln 679)

Also, it seems in a lot of places use of ' character causes problems.

Are you using 1.1.0 or 1.0.0?  I know you posted in Bugs 1.1.0 but the apostrophe thing was fixed in 1.1.0.

Jeff, I think it was 1.0.0, which would be the stable release?? I had a hell of a time getting the install to work with safe php settings so I dropped back to the other version.. Install went well but after messing with the board for two days and then having it not write to the database on about half the posts, I decided to bite the bullet and actually spend money on vbulletin.. <gasp>

I really like this project a lot (a WHOLE lot) but just did not feel I could go with it as a production board at this time.

I think you guys have a hell of a good thing going here though, in many ways, better than VB!

Well if you ever decide to come back, one of us can probably troubleshoot what is wrong...chances are it was something very simple.
