How do you only get Admins and Moderators to post in an announcement board, but still allow users to see it?

ummmmmmmmmmm... isnt that in 1.1.0 also?

I know announcents work in 1.1.0 (though I needed to do some modifications to get it to work reliably) and that I had to make announcement posts also chgeck for Moderator, but they do work in 1.1.0...

Yes Announcements are in 1.1.0 but what PlonkerFish is talking about is not.  The current version allows replys to the announcments by anyone but he wants it so peole can't reply.  I suppose you could just lock the topic after you have posted it and solve your problem.
