All my members get this when trying to PM eachother since i upgraded from Yabb SP1 to YaBB SE 1.1.0

any ideas please ?

Look for any preg_match statements.  I think the one you're looking at (and I could be wrong) around that line is:

$db = preg_replace("[^0-9A-Za-z#%+,-\.@^_]","",$db);

replace it with:

$db = preg_replace("/[^0-9A-Za-z#%+,-\.@^_]/","",$db);
