The forum was working fine earlier on now it is just giving me and others those errors

Looks like somoene messed with Settings.php, take a look at it to make sure the proper db settings are there.

I just had a look and it is all correct

Did you edit Settings.php manually?  Send it over to me and I will take a peek.  There is a parse error in it.
