hi there,

I wanted 2 update (from yabb1G)/install to the new 1.1.0 beta SE Script ... I am Using php 4.0.1pl2 and mysql 3.23. I've tried safe mode and non safe mode install (no safe mode is enabled on my server).

  • non safe mode: I've followed the steps, 1st question:

installdir of yabbse: preentered is /yabbse - is this only for copiing the files or have I to enter the absolute serverpath?!?
-> I've tried relative to the installsubdir, it worked, also a install with the absolute serverpath .... okay this seems to work (files were copied)

the rest worked without problem until entering the finished dir with index.php

my Browser says: "diese Seite kann nicht angezeigt werden" respectively "This page cannot be displayed" ... this is a server and no php error message!!!

  • safe mode install: I've transfered the files (bin/ascii), chmoded settings.php to 666 - but .... the same as before .... no displaying possible

hm ... sqltabels seem to be ok, files too. Whats wrong ?!?!?
Sometimes before with other scripts/own scripts i've encountered problems with includes, so I've had to use absolute paths .... maybe something with this ... does anybody have a hint for me ?!?!

Do you have both a template.php and a template.html in your main folder?

For install dir, I'd use the full path if I were you.  Also, your PHP version is too low, you're going to want at least 4.0.4 or 4.0.5.
