I will try to get one of the members to recreate the error and give me the info....  of if you would like to see if it gives you the same message you are more than welcome to try it out... http://forum.gecko-island.com

I had the problem the very first time i logged in, but i went and posted in anoth board and was able to go back to the one i was having problems with and post with no problems.  Did not think to much about that afterwards, untill a member had the same proble....did the same thing and was able to post. But he is still running into that problem.

I love this board, I had problems with cookies before, and got it fixed by changing my url from www.gecko-island.com/forums to forum.gecko-island.com. The sub-directory helped with that.

But do you think he might still have the cookie with the old URL to it and its causeing this problem. I have tried to create an account and see if i could recreate the error but have not been able to.

thanks so much for helping

Hmm are you using 1.0.0?  Can the user logout and delete his cookies?

He has deleted his cookies and still happening to him.  He is getting it when he post a post. there is no texxt above the error message. its just the error message on the screen. here is the link http://www.gecko-island.com/photos/G-I%20screenshot_sm.gif    its when he tries to post a message... and he can back out and post in a diffrent topic, and come back and it will work.

I just installed 1.0.0 - install went fine except the first field name of the database tables didn't get created properly (I saw that issue in other YaBB category, and I had to edit one of the config files to remove the field name that YaBB tried to use/create during the install).

After the install, I logged in as administrator and changed some of the default settings, and also renamed General to Community, and then created some boards.

Then I deleted the original Welcome post from YaBB, then attempted to post my own welcome in the General Category, but I got the same error as you.

I tried logging out, deleting my cookies and cache, then logging back in as administrator to try posting again, but got the same error.

Help!!!

Maybe because i just over Wrote the original YABB message that comes pre-made with the board(the "welcome to YaBB SE" post) instead of deleting it, it gives us the error message.  Could this be the reason?
