How do we change default settings for new users?

How do we change the default settings for new users?

For example, their member title, default picture, and change text like

"I love YaBB SE!"

to something else?

change it all in the language file; english.lng

Hmmm, I changed it but doesn't work for all the text. For some parts it still shows the same text even when I changed it, not matter what. I cleared cache, cookies, history, restart but still the same text for many areas I edited. ::

Make sure you are editing the english.lng file in your YaBB SE directory, NOT the one in the sources directory. I had exactly the same problem as you until I realised that the one in the sources directory is not even used because there is another one in the main directory.
