Install Error, step 4

I got through extracting everything and for step three I put in the needed information, and at step 4 I got this:
QuoteCannot use database forum, connection to server succeeded by the way.
What can I do to ... get past that? Thanks

And, all the fields are confirmed correct in step 3 by my webhost...

Well, I read another post with the same error, but I do have the permissions... and it is not a free host. Any other way around it?

Are you allowed to have multiple databases? if not thats why.

To me it sounds like you have a valid database, but you did not assign a user and password to the database.  Creating a user and a database is not enough.  You have to assign a user to the database.
