I've been looking on this board for answers to some of my questions, and a lot of things point to the forum preferences.  When I load mine, I don't see a lot of options that I think should be there.  The last item I see is "Language Pack you wish to use" and then an empty drop down box.  Should there be more preferences, and if so, what do I need to do to get it working?
Thanks,
Derek

Has anybody else had this problem?  I need to change certain settings that don't appear, including things like disallowing guests the ability to post.  I'd really appreciate any help.
Thanks,

Derek,

Not sure what the issue is as I've never seen that before.  But there are in fact other settings below what you're seeing.

Did you have to reinstall or did you just replace some of the files?  I just want to make sure that I don't take my board out of commission or lose anything.

I reinstalled everything but I still have the same problem with the preferences.  All the options (the important ones) that are supposed to appear below the Language Pack selection just don't appear.  I really need to be able to set them.  Could it possibly not be finding something saying that the English pack is installed, causing it to stop there?  If we can't figure out how to fix this, is there anyway that I can go through the actual code and change those settings manually?
