Error when registering

I've just installed YaBBSE on my local webserver, and I think it's a great discussionboard, but I experience a quite critical error;
when I register a new user, and I hit the 'register' button, I get the following error:
2: Server Error
(c:/phpdev3/www/yabbse/Sources/Subs.php ln 274)

The user is still registered but this ain't quite a neat way.. When I registered at this forum, I didn't get the error... I'm quite sure I use the most recent version, since I downloaded it yesterday... I use the following:

Windows 98 SE
Apache 1.1 webserver
PHP 4.0
MySQL 3.23

Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?? Please help!

There was 1 board automaticly installed, called 'General Discussion'. I haven't created any boards myself yet...

Yeah, I also have some of the other probs you listed there. It's a great piece of software but those errors drive me nuts!!! :(
