adding custom items on the main page before the news

On the main page of YaBB we can have some news taken from a board (or from boards ;)) they are placed in this way:

News
News
News
News
(etc.)

I'd like to add a custom item (some text) before the news and after the news. I've managed to add the text  after the news but not before. Is there any way to do it?

PS: I'd like to have a such structure:

[custom]
News
News
News
(etc.)
[custom]

put the custom lines in the php file where u include the news
example:

[custom lines]
<?php include "http://yoursite.com/forum/index.php?board=3;action=news"; ?>
[custom lines]
