ok tonight I have taken on a third board to help with .....

I have turned on the recnet posts and it is not showing new posts ... the newest member is not changing with a new user and the mark as read is not working  I tried checking the chmoding .. even chmoded everything to 777... no luck...

What's wrong with mark as read?  Have you tried a detailed version check?

I dont know about the phpinfo file so Im looking on here for info .. I saw a link to how to make it earlier so Ill get it up asap

try reuploading all the sources in 1.5.1 upgrade package
maybe u're missing a few new files

Now I'm getting a database error.  Perhaps you should check your logs?

I took spiffs advice .. that screwed things up .. I got it fixed now .. but the recent post error is still there

I'm almost dead sure that some of your files are not 1.5.1.

The board was recently converted and the time offset was wrong.

Check Settings.php.

I would recommend replacing Settings.php with a backup - namely, Settings_bak.php.
