Can't recount board totals

When i click 'Recount board totals' in the admin page, it recounts them and says it's done it all OK, but it doesnt actually recount them - they just stay blank!

Could you also tell me where abouts in the MySQL tables this information is stored (board totals etc.)

no it re-counts them - displayts them fine oin the stats page, but on the index it wont show them - it shows a blank next to total posts:

get what i mean?

has anyone got ne idea how to fix this?

I checked on your board, 8008135, and it looks correct.  I looked at a thread count for one of the boards and then went into the board and counted the threads.  Why do you say it does not work?

You may be seeing a cached page.... the totals look fine from my end.

so it displays them properly on the main index page for you?

That's really weird - it doesn't show them for me or my friend.  The only place it shows them is in the forum stats page - it doesn't show them in the admin section either.

ok i'll try it - but i fresh installed the yabb 1.5 RC1 thingy, but converted the old database from yabb SE 1.41 to use with it (after a bit of work with help from my friend) and that works fine - apart from the 'lost post' syndrome

i'll give it another go

it should be inside the zip package if u download the upgrade version
if u downloaded the fresh install version, u'll get an install.php file

the problem is, if u already have a board, u should've upgraded, not do a clean install then dump the data again
some of those data/tables should have been altered in the upgrade

yeah i edited them manually because i needed to keep the data - couldn't upgrade because i had mods installed (personalised ones i wrote myself too) so it wouldn't of worked.

Any idea where the info for this suff is found and what i need to do to fix it?

So much was changed that this is indeed a bad idea.

Make sure you have the correct values added to the settings table.

it would be a good idea to keep the mods you write yourself in .mod files (boardmod files)
i always do that now, so when i upgrade, i can easily apply my old customizations

Another problem - when posting in CERTAIN (but not all) threads with more than one page of topics, i get the error:

Any idea why?  I looked at line 456, but it's blank for me

Your smtp server is not set properly.

The table is yabbse_settings, the fields are like "totalMessages" and "totalTopics".
