With this MOD you can select a list of members you want to send an IM to, instead of type all the names by hand.

There will be a button behind the "To username" field, which opens a new popup with a list of all members. Select the members you want and click on "Modify".

This MOD doesn't work in Opera. And I hope anyone can help me. Opera doesn't know the javascript object "window.opener". Is ther any other similar object Opera knows?

And by the way: I think this MOD isn't very effective with large member lists.

I have installed this mod and in principle everything appears to work fine but there are a few members on my board who use the real name function. When using the member list, the real name is used as the recipient name and as a result an error message is displayed stating that the member does not exist or they have blocked you.
I hope this makes sense and you can help.

However, this is deadly to big boards.  If you are going to go this far, it's almost worth adding a contact list for each user.  (so as to make displaying that page easier.)

A contact list would be fine - anyone considering this for 1.41 and 1.51? Our board has currently 1.640 Members, and still counting... I assume more than 3.000 Members at the end of the year. So this function, included with a contact list, would be very handy

Sauron, I have installed the updated mod today, after selecting the member name and pressing modify no name is entered into the recipient box?

hm, I don't have this problem. What browser do you use? And do you get any javascript errors?

I am using IE6 and don't get any javascript errors  

If I enter a member name and then open the memberlist, when clicking a member the one in the list disappears however when "modify" is clicked the selected members are not entered

If I hold Ctrl and select multiple members, when "modify" is clicked the correct number of ","s are inserted by no usernames

I don't know what's going wrong. Your problem occurs when the memberName field in the database is empty. But this field cannot be empy. So I'm confused about this.
I think I will find a solution but this will take a while.

I am afraid my board is so heavily mod something is conflicting, maybe it is time to start from scratch...

I have a habit of manually installing stuff on my board mainly because half the time BoardMod won't find at least one line (even if it's there), and installing mods only adds to the problem. I've got the following mods on my board:

AdvIM
Select Members in IM
Now Listening To
Memberlist Plus
Integrated Chat
UserColor
MemberMap

The only thing is, now my board is slow... Before you start from scratch, save InstantMessage.php to your computer then go through the mod file (using Wordpad) and look at each step, making sure that the code you inserted is exactly as it's supposed to be.
