Just repair your Settings.php and index.php.

What version were you running and did you fix your files like we announced multiple times?

I just checked and this is not 1.5.1, but some version before it.

Upload all the file over again... but I would recommend upgrading to 1.5.1.

It all depends on the damage that was done.  If they deleted your database then hopefully you have backups.

The database cannot be downloaded with ftp, you need to make a "dump" of your database (directly to your local pc or alternatively to a server file which then can be downloaded with ftp to your local pc).
With ftp you can save the data in your public html space such as the php sources, template, images, etc.

ok well hopefully my mate has done that, but i don't think he wuld have for a very long time since he hasn't postd for a month.

What i meant by ftp, was just use my ftp client to look round the server files.

I just typed in Mad_Skater(the hacker) into google and it seems he is part of a brazilian group who have hacked many sites

They arent hackers, they are script kiddies, id hardly call using a well publisised exploit hacking.

Either way they wanna get a life or preferably end up under a bus.
