Suggestions

1/ Allow option of overwriting position titles with custom titles,

2/ Support YaBB SE mods. Excepting avatars and language packs, the YaBBpak center has no other actual mods.

3/ Option to set personalised newbie defaults (ie, personal message, currently at "I am a Llama")

Just some starters. YaBB SE is great and is much appreciated. But if you really want to make it better...

1/ Allow option of overwriting position titles with custom titles,

Go to Admin area and then click "Edit Member groups" under the "Member Controls" section.  You can change what the positions are.

2/ Support YaBB SE mods. Excepting avatars and language packs, the YaBBpak center has no other actual mods.

There are plenty of other members that have package servers to add to the list.  Just because the official Yabb Team does not have a Package server for other mods, does not mean they don't exist.

3/ Option to set personalised newbie defaults (ie, personal message, currently at "I am a Llama")

Modify your english.lng file and change the text in $txt[209] to be what ever you want.

On issue 1 - a custom title is displayed with the position title. There's no apparent way to change that so only the custom title will display for an individual user. I only ask because one of my most frequent posters would like a custom title only. But I can't do it without removing position titles from everyone else. As it's only a small board, I'm trying to keep everyone happy.

Issue 2 - I'll guess I'll have to collect the server URLs from the modding boards. Makes me sort of feel though  like walking into the Slaughtered Lamb in "American Werewolf in London".

Issue 3 - I figure YaBBSE is popular with non-programmers like myself precisely because it does offer so much control. Dealing with HTML is one thing, but messing with scripts gives me the gribblies. I could probably change the text - but a more automated feature would be nice one day - for example, setting newbie default, such as assigning a basic site avatar as well (or even a random avatar). That would be interesting.
