hi
great forum you have made  :D
but I highly recommend adding the Sub forum in the new release because as you can see many are asking for them and the MOD for that is not that much and not in englsih ,, my understanding of the sub forum is just like this forum have http://forum.mgbr.net

secondly boardmod have only Perl MODS and your site doesn't have one ,, sure there is the MOD section but it's not organized by versions and many links there are broken ,,,

regards :)

There is a mod for sub boards, but don't worry.... that is a feature already implemented in Trinity (SE 2.0).

As far as the mods.... there is a BoardMod SE, and Boardmod _DOES_ work with YaBB SE.  (or, so I've been told - I've never used either program.... I use YaBBpaks.)

The problem is that YabbPack isn't avilable in free hosts ..
and about the mods as I said many of them are off-line and the sub-forum MOD isn't in english ,,,
anyway I hope we can see SE 2.0 very soon..

There was a question about the boardmod thing the other day, I made a picture to help folks understand how to use a "Select File" dialog box specifically the one used by BoardMod!

Hope this help solve the BoardMod mystery! ::)

To start with,I'm a little slow (see my only other post http://www.yabbse.org/community/index.php?board=131;action=display;threadid=14766;start=0 )..I will stick with what I have as it has html, and is much easier to hack than what you have here.

Quote from: Midnightstar on January 29, 2003, 10:22:18 PMI will stick with what I have as it has html...

I thought I liked HTML-enabled BBs until I decided to set up a BB at my own site. Now (although I'd like to see things like proper 'm' and 'n' dashes included in the YaBBC tags), I'm glad YaBB SE doesn't permit HTML as standard because there are far more posters out there who don't know how to use it than do (so who started this thing about 'easier to use'?) and there's less to break without it!

PS IMHO, the new release is (or is certainly going to be) *excellent*! 8)

That has to be the dumbest thing I've heard. Yes YaBB SE it php but the template is HTML. What more does this guy want... I used PHPBB a long time ago and hated it so I don't know what this guys loves about it I guess.
Come here to get a quality board http://www.yabbse.org/community/

I would enable HTML if I trusted people to not screw up the beauty of standards-compliant code. Instead, I just modded my board to allow numeric character entity references (—, ’, etc.), which is about all I need outside of YABBC tags.

Now *that* sounds interesting! Allowing entities but no further HTML would suit me down to the ground too. :)
