Is there a Photo Post for YaBBSE?

Is there a Photopost mod created/in the works/an idea for YaBBSE?  Something where members can submit pics (but not in individual threads).

This co. has a good one http://www.photopost.com/ but they havn't gotten a YaBBSE version yet.

I asked about this a long time ago because I LOVE photopost, but I do not want to add another feature without being able to use a single user db.  It gets too confusing for the users.

I asked the photopost people about it a while back and they didn't have any plans of adding yabbse to list of supported forums.  I begged but they said no for now.

Either way, there was a little bit of enthusiam for doing something like this, but not much.  I really think it could be something that REALLLLLY sets yabbse apart from the others, and my users are begging for a decent photo area as well.   That is definately the crappiest part of my site.

i'm looking for an image gallery script thats not too big/complicated and GPL
im planning to integrate it with yabbse
too bad that one isnt free...
im just loooking for something that can upload & resize images and create thumbnails

Hmmm, interesting.   Spymac did it with the older version of photopost and it looks pretty cool, but photopost php is a different animal.  It would probably be EASIER than integrating the perl version, but who knows?

Heh.. I didn't beg but I asked what the status was and the responce was a bit cold hearted but boiled down to "NO, There is no version for YabbSE"

But, a fully intergrated solution like you mentioned is a must and I'd love to see one developed.

If anyone is interested in creating something - you have 100% of my time or a server/sql bandwidth.. whatever.

Well yeah, if someone had the one that interfaced with phpBB it probably wouldn't be too hard to alter it to work with SE...

Actually, I am going to start a thread over there and see what they think.  I wouldn't want to get them mad at me over licensing issues if I bought the product and let someone else hack it.  Maybe  you guys could work something out with them.  Something to stimulate them to make a version for YaBBSE or to let you guys have a try at it.  I'll post my results.

Sounds like they're going to give it a try once their new release is done.  I hope it works out.  The only thing I worry about is having to upgrade to 1.4.1 if they do it because I have hacked 1.4.0 so much, that it would take me months to get it back how I like it.  Mostly, I have just done cosmetic hacks but a lot of it has been in the code of the other scripts, not just the CSS.  Yikes!

Keep your fingers crossed, maybe we'll get the integration after all!
