Any moderator action such as deleting a post and moving a post should automaticaly call the function to "recount all board totals"

save the extra step...

Umm, why?  That would be extremly bloated and make the board really slow.

when a post is deleted.. it dosn't properly reflect the correct numer of posts in that board..

so you would have to run recount anyway..

i don't understand how this is costing any more resources to do...

if you are doing it anyway..

It is not a bad idea, but I think it would cost a lot if you were say moving and deleteing a bunch of boards and topics and stuff as it would do this action each time you made a change.  In a case like that, it would be better to do all your changes and then just once go to the "recount board" link and do it just once.  Perhaps someone will want to make the change.
