Upgraded YaBB Gold 1.1 need a MOD urgent

I have changed to SE 1.4. from Gold 1.1
A couple of things that I had installed with that was a Message Sort Option (most other boards have this I don't understand why this doesn't or there isn't a hack for it) and a Thread summary (very nice little MOD).

I had the Thread summary set a 60 characters and this looked really neat to view.

SE doesn't have either of these and I am surprised especially that there is no sort order, except by date. Both were perfect for my board I'm running. I really need to sort by Thread Name at least.

The option in YaBB GOLD is the threads can be sorted in a number of ways. I had it set up to read : "Sort by thread name", "last comment/reply", "number of replies", "number of views".
All of these a purely optional however. thread is what is really needed. Anyone know how to do it?

I have tried the Topic summary by "snYpir" but that does not do it and whilst nice and neat I can't see the purpose of it. Sorry "snYpir".

I know you can change the order of messages a little through the "Installed mods" in the admin section.

When viewing a thread, if the option "View Newest Messages First" is checked, it will show the newest message first in a thread.

Doesn't make a lot of sense to me to have this checked.  Say you have a 3 page thread and your click the thread's title.  You are brought to the newest message first and then have to click on page 3 to see the start of a thread.  

If there is a mod out there, I don't recall seeing one... but dig through the mods section just in case.  You will love SE's stability, though.  

The last thing I remember doing with Gold was moving a thread and half of my messages vanished.  I took the board down right then and there, went to work and started converting over to SE!

Re the GOLD version. Yeh it's given me a few headaches. but to a degree easy to fix up. But at the same time probably more trouble than it should be.
I really hope your right about stability.
