Template problem PLEASE HELP :-)

Hi, im in the settings and prefrances area in the SE version, and when you scroll down to this area:

Title BG Color  
Title Text Color  
Window BG Color  
Window BG Color #2  
Window BG Color #3  
Category BG Color

i changed all the colors and saved it, but nothing appears to have changed.....why?

those are for topic summary,View the 10 most recent posts ... but not for the main and message index.
If you want to change the look of main board index and message index use the edit template.

oh ok.....is there any simple looking area to the  edit template thing because it is kinda confusing
