In my 1.1 safe-mode package are Help-files.
Normally there are 2 (1.0) or 4 (1.1) files in the packages-folder ! Check again, if they are not there, copy them from the safe-mode package.

See above, you have to install 1.0, then copy the new files over the old ones and finally run update.php !

Is the converter a seperate download somewhere?
I have a converter.php in my safe-mode-1.1-package ! First install 1.0, then upgrade to 1.1 and then convert your old files.
