Who doesn't have a tool like this and hasn't upgraded their tables already in preparation for 1.1.0?

I have an upgrade script that upgrades your tables and I'd like to test it.  it worked fine on my site but want to test it on someone elses...

Ok thanks, I'll post the link here I suppose.

http://www.yabb.info/upgrade.zip

It's a small file that needs to be placed in the same directory as your Settings.php file.

Call it up in your browser and it should make changes to your database.  I have phpmyadmin and tested it this way and all was fine :)

If you've already added the table changes for 1.1.0 you will receive error messages (like table already exists).

But let me know how it goes...

Jeff,

I used the upgrade feature and this is what I got when I ran it:

Boards table altered!
Settings table appended!
Settings table appended!
Settings table appended!
Settings table appended!
Settings table appended!
log_errors table created!
Members table altered!

Upgrade of SQL is ok.

Still getting an error message when I access the profile option. The error code is as follows:

2: Supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource
(/home/notapro/cgi-bin/twforum/Sources/Profile.php ln 40)

Every thing else appears to be working great.

I looked at my TW_members file and don't see anything about usertitle.

Seriously?  Oh, have you upgraded to the new 1.1.0 files?

The upgrade script said it was added :)

Hehe ok, was about to start pulling my hair out again ;)

Hmm, so I have corrected a language file entry, made sure I have all SQL needed, created the upgrade.php file which updates the database.

I will not package template.php this time around either :)

Jeff,
I tried that script too.  I got no errors when I ran it, but I get this error when trying to accsess profiles.
2: Supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource
(/home/verno/public_html/gwc3/Sources/Profile.php ln 40)
I did replace all of my source files, and the all the others I was suppose too.  When I look in my members database I do not see were it was added the "usertitle".  I also tried running the corrected manual upgrade script on another forum and got the same error.  The corrected script I used is below.
ALTER TABLE `yourdatabasename`.`yabbse_boards` ADD `isAnnouncement` TINYINT(4) DEFAULT '0' NOT NULL;
Also when I try to upload an attachments I get the following error.
2: OpenDir: No such file or directory (errno 2)
(/home/verno/public_html/gwc2/Sources/Post.php ln 599)
I got that error on version 1.0.0, 1.1.0 full version, 1.1.0 upgraded version of YaBBSE

Verno, so your databases are not updated?  They must have updated as the script i wrote will report any errors returned by mySQL.

As for your attachment directory, make sure you're using the full path (not URL) in modSettings....

I have the attachments working now, I had assumed that under the default setting it would have worked automatically.

I looked at my databases some more and there were changes made to it during the upgrade.  In boards the "isAnnouncement" change has been made, so I know it did do something, but in the members database the "usertitle" has not been added.  I know this sounds crazy.  I have tried running the upgrade 4 or 5 times now and have had the same problem every time.  The full version of 1.1.0 works fine for me though.
