Attachment Download Counter:

This mod will count the number of downloads each of your attachments get. It requires running a DB script, and installing the mod (via BoardMod).

There shouldn't be any compatability problems, but if there are let me know.  

Downloads will be shown like so:
yourfile.zip (7 downloads)

The mod is attached; let me know how you get on

Thanks. I thought this should've been included in a proper yabb release, I've seen it in other board (like vB) and they people seem to like it Oh well!

Smilies SE I take it? Yay, glad you like the mods. If I get any inspiration, I always like to make a mod out of it. Glad you got Smilies SE working too! A lot of people are way too adament about using YaBBPak. And frankly, I really like the idea behind it, but it needs some work.

Phew, glad it works. And no bugs I take it?
I might do a YaBBpak version for it too, for those who dont have BoardMod but would like the mod.
BTW, there text is hardcoded into yabb, but its not like people can't understand "downloads", right?

When i install the mod i take the folowing error message : 2: Supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource

I take it you inserted the database entries as given? Plus theres even a DB script to run if you dont know how to do it manually.
That's most likely your error. If not let me know.

I found a problem which I corrected - don't know if it affects 1.4.0 generally, since I've edited a lot of my board, but I swear I haven't touched ManageAttachments.php...

Anyway, the is_admin() check was outside the main function, so whenever non-admins clicked attachment links on my board, they got a "You can't access this" error. I moved the is_admin() statement into the first function, and it all works fine now - non-admins still can't access the attachments manager, but they can view attachments.

Non admins should never be able to view the attachment manager. Thats an admin function.
And if you open attach.mod, you'll see not once do I search for or add a is_admin(); statement. So, um.. I dunno!

I know your mod doesn't add the line

When I opened up my manageattachments.php file, at the top there was an is_admin statement, which was preventing the Download() function you'd added from being executed by non-admins.

It could just be me though, the is_admin line might not be there by default, I might have added it a while back during a bug fix or something, before it was fixed in an official release.

  erm, yes... lol. Well as long as it works for you. I've tested the mod quite a bit and can't find any problems with it anyway, so I dunno why the is_admin() statement was printed.. hmm
