Have we got read only boards yet?

Before I go through the process of upgrading my install at home (which i think I'm still on an older rev), does anyone know if any of the revs or a mod or anythin ghave intorduced read only boards yet?  Or maybe even a forum where anyone can read but only members of a certain group can post topics/reply to them?

Would work well for some areas where I need to have discussion with a set group of people but want others to be able to see the information thats being discussed, just not clutter that board with stuff.
