my idea #1 - i think it is simple but being a n00b i do not know how to do it :D

basically i want to display the 10 most recent topics from my board on my homepage (www.oznews.tk) so the way i see it all i need to do is get the section on the FORUM mainpage 'most recent posts' and get it to write that to a seperate file aswell as to the FORUM mainpage. Plz someone make this - i really need it

My idea #2aybe a bit more difficult but still fairly simple:

what i want to do is when a visitor comes to my homepage (assuming they are signed in @ the forums) i want it to say 'Welcome NAME - you have # new messages' (name being their forum name) just like on the forum mainpage! And for it to say 'Welcome Guest - Login or Register' if they are not signed in.

again can someone plz make this - i dont think it will be that difficult - basically for idea #1 + #2 all you need do is get a page that reads the appropriate info off the db and can be included in a page

plz help

Cheers

This already exist in ssi.php.  It's been around for quite some time.  You can see an example of some of this on my site if you'd like.
