Mailing List Mod

I am about to start my first mod. Well I think I am. It depends on if someone else has already done it. Or has started it. I personally have a need to allow people to subscribe to an opt-in mailing list. I want to be able to send to the entire board or to just those that have asked to get a weekly mailing.

Has anyone started such a mod? If not I will start on it when Yabb 1.4 has been released to the world.

What other features would people like to see?

I don't think anyone else has started this mod but arn't on the mod team so can't be positive. This would be a very useful mod once written.

Actually, I have requested this a few times... What I was personally looking for was:

1 - The ability to easily opt out of the newseltter. It would also be nice if there was a link to unsubscribe at the bottom of the e-mail that went directly to the users subscription options.

2 - The ability for the viewer to receive plan text or HTML mailings. Of course one would also need the ability to SEND HTML or plain text mailings.

That was about it. I thought that these were the basics, and this would help me out greatly. If you're able to do this, you will be my hero!

I have already claimed this mod, I was going to make it as soon as 1.4 is out.

What is even funnier is that Silver Dragon is the one that requested me to make it.
