Simple: in post2() (Or whatever it's called) have it set the flag to read before going back to the thread.

When yall are talking about the new flag, do yall mean it setting it so that the new image is going to be displayed next to the thread? If so, I have already taken care of that in this mod, if not please tell me a little bit more of what you mean.

I got this error while installing the YaBB Pack version:

2: Failed opening 'Packages/modification.php' for inclusion (include_path='c:\php4\pear')
(c:\program files\apache group\apache\htdocs\joshcb2\yabbse\Sources\Packages.php ln 451)

What now?

This is a very short mod.  Very easy to do by hand with a little VI.  Took me 5 minutes and works like a charm!

you must run the script (createdb.php or something like that, that insers a row into your database!)

When i install this mod from YaBBpak Center, doesn`t it set up the database by its self ?
