Should the alert.zip be the new one?
I downloaded it and it was the same as 16th or is it just a bad cache?

newimalert.zip and newim.zip have both been updated, they are 2 different versions.

It would be great if members could turn the Pop-Up Alert on or off themselves. SP1 offers this Mod; ever thought of just making one version that can do both .. or is that easier said than done?

Am I totally lost with windows thingy or should it say last modified 20th NOT 16th when I open the mod file.

The alert instant message is installed and
If i go into the profile, i dont see any case which allow me to on/off the alert popup...

whats going wrong ?

You don't turn it off in the profile, you turn it off in your preferences in your IM center.

pardon my ignorance but, I can't figure out how to turn it off either....all my other installed mods, have the options in my installed mods and prefs center in the admin center...

I can't find an option for the IM mod though.

Do you mean you can't figure out how to turn off the alert?

If so, go into your IM center, then click the preferences button. Then turn the alert off. It only turns it off for you, your other members will have to turn it off for themselves.

If you don't want alerts period, then uninstall the alert version, download the one without it, and install that version.

Just a simple question...

It would be great if .... when a user is sending an instant message to someone, the mod is verifying if that user is online... if yes, that user can see instantly the popup comes up.... so he dont need to "refresh" the web page...

Sorry that isn't possible unless I add a meta refresh tag... but that would become majorly annoying trust me.

why did you change this code? What need did you see to redirect the user to his IM Out Box after sending an IM to another user?
In the German Support Forum someone asked how to change it back and i told him, but now i just want to know for what purpose you did this change.

Because of the design of the current IM box... if you send im's to yourself to test it they it will always say you have 0 new messages unless someone else sends them to you... my doing this was just a work around... but when the new IM system is completed I am sure that this would not be necessary.

Ah yes i understand but i think just the users to tell them that the indicator won't work with im's they send to themselves and leave the original code would have been the better alternative for this problem
