What would make it an even more useful mod is to be able to define extra tags, what I mean by that is this:

You have your normal set of HTML tags for users to be allowed to use. Then you have another set that admins can use, so you could run scripts and such in posts or whatever, without risk. The Admin's set would include the other set automatically, just add the ones you want extra for admins only to be able to use. Possibly global mods to (or even a different extra set for them.)

I've also had a few members asking for this for signatures.  Mostly just so they can be fancy, but I allowed them to do it on my Yabb Gold SP1 Board and they fine with it.

They used simple things like Drop Down boxes and such, mostly hold over signatures from when we were on Ez-board.

The Mod I made on my old board allowed HTML everywhere and it wasn't controlled at all.  While I would like the ability to allow them to be creative, I would much rather not do that with SE.

If an HTML Mod was made i would most likely install and use it.  People get grumpy when you take things away from them in the name of "Upgrading"...:)

By all means listen to what your board users ask for, but that doesn't mean that you have to give them everything  :)

After all, it's you that has to keep the board working, not them.  Most of them don't understand what's involved in running a board, they assume that you can click your mouse and give them everything.

I certainly don't want the additional security risks involved with HTML posting - but as long as you can turn it off, that would be OK in my book  ;D
