LINK button instead of URL button

A lot of my members have troubles with the URL button :

they don't know how to use it, and will enter the whole URL in a message, or a phrase will look like :

Click here to enter the site.

Where ?  Just click on the WORD "here".....

So, if it would be possible to add something like :

[link=http://  ]TEXT[/link]

and make that BOLD, UNDERLINED, and (maybe) SIZE=3 ?

Do you know what I mean ?

I tried adding it to ubbc.js, and that was no problem, but what do I have to change / where to let it be displayed BOLD, UNDERLINED, etc. ??

(I dont want it to be displayed as [b ][u ][link=http://  ]TEXT[/link][/u ][/b ] !! )

I haven't tried this myself but I think you could find the parts you need to make bold from the language file and add the html tags around the word you want to make bold. For example find

$txt[662] = "here"; and make it

Code Select Expand

$txt[662] = "<B>here</B>";

But that will not be added when you click the URL button.

It will only show :

[url ][/url ]

And nothing more.....

So the question would be : where exactly do I have to change what.....in which files, so the code is parsed the right way.

yes.. you should change the $codetocache array I guess.. add those html image tag inside.. (not look to it yet) one thing is you have to use backslack for some character.. see the example on the neighborhood lines.
