i run phpinfo.php and nothing came out. just plain white page with the adress of the file in my server as the title bar.

so can my server run php?

one more thing, i uploaded the .php and .ya file and chmodded the directory.

how come i get funny statements like this. it's too difficult to understand and  are these statements natural?

"; } elseif($step == 'zero') { $installdir = $HTTP_SERVER_VARS["DOCUMENT_ROOT"]."/yabbse"; $installdir = str_replace("//","/",$installdir); ?> This program will install YaBB SE on your webserver

Install to directory

what do i type in "install to directory/<?=$installdir?>"?

please help!
