Well, why don't you consider picking the message from the board  to be a news by using a threadid.  It should be easier than what you are doing.. I think..  :-X

Most of all, people can give comment to the news.

Question...  

Say we get and install EZ-Tarch down the line I am curious about the following:

  • Will there be a way to migrate data from an existing Yabbse board?
  • Will we be able to use other Yabbse mods on it?

Basically, without either of those would make it hard for many people to want to migrate existing boards.  Sorry if you may have already answered this in a previous post, did not see...

and you can install EZTarch on already an existant board - Which means - you can keep databases and messages.

Actually, I'm not making it just for fresh installs, if you had even looked at the beta it's for PRE-EXISTING boards only. It says in the instructions where and what to change according to what your news board is. Do the research before you comment on something that you know nothing about. Mine will have a news-poster in the admin center as well, it's just faster than going to the forum, and finding your announcement board and posting etc.

Ahahahaaaa,
I don't need to fight him... eventually both will be good and people will go for YABBSE2 with a cms on it :P

Which is why I don't like how the devs keep everything secret and let us just bog up our heads and then release something that has all of our stuff in it and makes us idiots.

The production of YaBB SE has high redundancy.. that is I can say.. :P Instead of keeping as a secret, I think we have the right to know :P It must be ABSOLUTELY better, if we develop something as a mod, and they include it in the major release.

how do you distinguish between a reply/post and a comment? or do you have to delete all the posts to mass delete the comments? :P  :o

What are you talking about? Anything that's posted as a reply to any "announcement" is considered a comment. If it's not in the announcement board, it doesn't show up.
