I know that the groups are supposed to do away with the need of a pasword forum, but in my case, and i hope i'm not alone, a passworded forum would be a huge help.

I run a guild website, and it would be much easier to advertise a password over our guild chat channel in game, than for me to have to verify every person that registeres to confirm if they are in the alliance.

Has a mod been made already for this (searched, found nothing here) or would anyone be intrested in doing one?

I agree, I've had situations like this.

Yeah...this mod would be really helpful!!
I know there's one for YaBB Gold SP1. I'm sad I don't know PHP enough or I would try to create this mod... :-\

Does anybody have a link to this mod for SP1 so the mod writers can take a look at what was involved in making it?

Im Working On Something Similar To This.. The ONe Im Working On Uses A Quota.. For Instance If  A User Doesnt Have xx posts or xx days registered it will deny him access.. you can configure each forum separately to fit your needs.. although the password thingy is pretty tough to do.. i have aj to help me out with this mod.. I Guess Ill Give It A Shot And ADD It To This Mod  :)

I need only a few days to release a beta. the only thing it doesn't support passwords, but I thing it's not a big problem to add it.
I think I will post a beta during the next week if anyone is interested in.

hey sauron just add another pasword field to members table and call it authorization or something that wont hurt anything.. make sure you set the cookie permissions as well if not it wont work  :-\

Well I don't really want the other stuff those mods will do.

If nobody minds, I will make a mod that adds ONLY password protected board, and nothing else.
