I am having a weird setup problem.

I found the problem by looking at the install.php code and comparing it to others. Then i tried using another version of php and then I guessed what could have changend from version 4.0.6 to 4.2.0 and I took a looke at the main configuration file of PHP(php.ini). And the comments on the settings. And after 1/2 an hour I finally had it!

I figured it out too. I was gonna post, but you beat me to it
I was also installing other PHP bbs scripts from other sites and I had the same problem with zorum and XMB.
I saw a post for the resolution on the XMB forum and relized this was te problem for all of them. In the PHP file the comments for the gobals says that they made it no by default because developers should try not to use gobals. but I think it is stupid for zend to impose how the developers make scripts in PHP by making that a default.

I am using YaBB1 Gold SP1 and whrn I click on the "profile icon I get this "Can't open directory (../../YaBBImages/avatars)!Please inform the administrator of this forum to fix the $facesdir setting immediately. I have the avatars in a directory under YaBBImages which is in my www directory(public_html)Any ideas?

This really doesn't belong into this topic but here a small guess:

Edit your settings.pl file and enter the absoloute path to your avatar folder.
