Is it possible to make one?
I'm unsure- although I highly doubt it from what I've seen, I'd just like to make sure.

Yes Wehn You Create A Board Just Set The Permissions To Who You Want To View It.. By DefaULT aDMIN cAN sEE aLL bOARDS sO tHE oNLY pERMISSIONS yOUR cHANGING Is For The Other Groups... Or You Could Make A Hidden Category With Forums Under It   HTH

Ok- but is it possible to like have lets say like you go to the URL. Instead of getting you must register to view the site, can it say instead that registration is closed- so only selected members can view anything, while everyone else just can see the page saying that admins select members to be part of the forums and that registration is closed.
Is this possible or is the only way of private forum possible the ones you have said?

Anjayis - what you're describing is possible.

Firstly, go to the Settings page in the Admin centre and select the option that says you have to be registered to do anything... can't remember exactly what it's called.

Then search for a mod by Tom B that allows admins to grant access to people on the forum - basically registration is closed, the admin has to validate the account for them to have access.
