Did you apply the indices described in this thread

to this board here?

This board *is* permanently slow. To much time is needed for reading the new posts. The response time for almost every click is around 3 seconds which is to slow.

i wud say about 1 second.  Not really slow anymore although the menu and top images load much faster than <yabb main> here

Yes we did, and you should try a tracert to see what kind of hops you're taking to get here.  The site was very slow for me before when we had some server issues but it has generally been very speedy lately for me...

Before or after my post? My impression is that it is faster at the moment.  
Correction: the board is faster at the moment. The private messages still load very slow. I have 124 messages in my inbox, they take around 30 seconds to load. Did you also create the indices on the IM table? My impression is that not...

only add indices will only work for a certain time, it´s also important that the table type corresponds with the optimize function! if you use 3.23 so optimize works only on bdb or myisam tables!

I don't know what you mean...

When it's slow, you can try a trace route to find out how many hops you're taking to get here and where the slow down appears.
