Just noticed this here, If you click on (for example) Mod Ideas, after viewing a post on page 5 of the Mod Ideas index you wiil be taken back to page 1 and not page 5 ( or whatever page you are on) This does become a pain after awhile.

Also (though I haven't yet experienced it) this may happen if you respond to a post on page 2 of a thread and you are taken back to page 1 after the post (some of us posters are vain and like to see our post in context to the rest of the page it is on :))

Any chance of a mod or a fix for this problem?

This has been discussed but it appears that Microsoft has already taken care of this with the addition of a back button and a refresh button which is standard with Internet Explorer.

*Note*  Not want to be left without such a useful feature, Netscape and Opera have also included these neat features packaged with their browsers.

Although I agree with John, I do believe that it would be more convienant to do what Wistman suggested.

Oh...... I'm sorry, I thought you wanted ideas that would turn YaBB SE into the envoy of the other board suppliers, but since their boards already do this and YaBB SE doesn't.........   I must have been mistaken ;D

Really? I know of boards that you have to PAY for that don't do this.

I just now realized that in SE it doesn't go back to the thread that you posted on it goes back to the threadlist.

Looks like another mod for me! :)

And it turned out to be one of my world's smallest mods. :P

here that mod is:
go_to_thread_after_post.mod
This is in boardmodSE format.

It certainly does this on UBB and on those terrible threaded forums, are you saying it could be an insumountable problem?

Nemesis, why's that? I applied this mod to my own board and haven't had any problems.

It has to do with the new flag, if I remember right it refreshes the message index so that the new flag is removed. If you go back to the message the new is not removed from the message index. I asked this before on 1.0.0 when it was released.  :-\

Wouldn't this be a bug in that the program does not recognise that the poster does not need the new flag to show after a posting?

Now you mention it, it shows the new flag when you move a post, in both the new and the old position
