Just a thank you

I found YaBBSE by sheer accident really.  When I first registered the majority of posts I read bewildered me.  Being new to bulletin boards in general I was a little concerned about posting questions that to many would seem self-explanatory.  I did nothing but read for the first week to grasp some kind of understanding of what CHMOD meant, where and how you could host forums and the level of difficulty it all may mean to a new comer like myself.

I jumped in and asked questions that I have no doubt made some roll their eyes in horror but they were answered with no ridicule but patience .One thing I learned quickly was just because a post I made had been viewed x amount of times with no replies it was because people were either busy or just didn't know the answer.  I myself view questions people post to learn and would answer them if I could.

The most important thing I have learned is PAITENCE.  What seems to me to be more urgent than breathing to me at the time is on a list of things people will get around to trying to help me with when they have time, and they did.

I just want to thank everyone here for helping an old fool like me learn and enjoy YaBBSE.  Andrea, making things easier for me experimenting with the look of a board with the colour board helper.  Alex for writing the easy step-by-step guides showing how to install and upgrade. Joseph for his explanations of things what to me looked incredibly hard to understand prior to his input.  Zef for the avatar gallery, Christian for the buttons.oh the list goes on!  But a big thanks to Jeff Lewis who s help has been invaluable and without it I would be meandering around looking at errors still.

YaBBSE is made easy for the newcomer.  Easy to install and upgrade and administer.  It's fast, reliable and boy does it have great features.  The support is with out question amazing, and all this for free.  I am glad I found it.
