Stats on the mainpage

I'd like to show some stats from the stats-page on my regular website.  Max. users for instance.
How can I do this ?

I have already some things shown by using welcomeinc.php, so how should I get latest member, max. users (with date and time) on my main page ??

Use SSI.php for what you can.  You may need to write/copy some code for other things.

hehe, okok, it doesn't have all the stats you were asking for, but who would want to know the latest member anywayz  

Besides, I think these SSI's significantly increase server load because every SSI for itself calls all the different routines and makes it's own connections to the MySQL database.

But to write own stats, I think SSI.php would be a perfect place to start in, since most of the settings are already called from there. Then copy/paste something from the Boardindex.php and from the Stats.php (or something like that) and put it as function in SSI.php.

Well, I don't work with SSI.php, but with welcome.php.  I will have a look at it myself.  For now I have the birthday shown, and I can show the top xx posters with their no. of posts.

I'll see what I can do myself then.....

I didn't wanna suggest by the way that it was a bad mod idea . On the contrary, SSI.php should actually have almost all possible data available from YaBB, so that website integration is very easy.

I can only say from my own experience that when a website is visited by over a hundred users at a time, the SSI's are really crashing the webserver as well as the SQL server... (so I disable them whenever I expect a large group to visit the website).

Yeah, it took me a lot of coffee to design such an ingenious sollution  

Next friday I will see whether my 'sollution' worked...I keep my fingers crossed (and this time hope NOT to lose my website for a day again  )
